Elkhorn, NE. – Nebraska PGA Professionals and their teams of Amateurs battled it out at the Club at Indian Creek and the home of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Pinnacle Bank Championship. Presented by Vinnie Krikac’s State Farm Insurance Agency, Coors Light and Arnold Palmer Spiked, 21 teams competed in Nebraska PGA’s Facilities Championship Pro-Am. In a two-net best ball format, today’s field played the 18-hole route of the 2020 Pinnacle Bank Championship featuring the same final round hole locations.

With already tough hole locations and thick rough, scoring conditions were made even harder because of the consistent high winds throughout the day but that didn’t stop several NEPGA Professionals from firing impressive rounds. The day was highlighted by the ageless Jim White, PGA MP of Fairways at Lincoln shooting his age at 70 (2-under-par) to capture low-Professional honors at the event. After a birdie to begin the day, White took a bogey on two of his next three holes but then he found consistency. Through his last 14 holes, he played at 3-under-par and he took care of the remaining par 5 holes making easy birdies on each.

Justin Herron of Oak Hills CC, Ryan Vermeer of Happy Hollow Club, and James Sieckmann, PGA of Shadow Ridge CC fired respective rounds of 71 (1-under-par). Justin Herron paired up with Amateurs Ryan Weber, Jim Atkinson, and Matt Wooster to shoot a team total of 16-under-par to capture low-team honors at today’s event.
