WELLS FARGO NEBRASKA OPEN

The 28^th Wells Fargo Nebraska Open at Elks Country Club concluded today and it was a great finish with Brandon Crick of McCook, NE chasing down the leaders.  In the end, the 2007 Champion, Nick Mason of Parker, Colorado reclaimed his title 12 years later to the capture the 2019 Wells Fargo Nebraska Open.  Nicklaus Mason of Shawnee, KS was the low amateur golfer and arguably one of the best junior golfer in the region.

The Wells Fargo Nebraska Open is endorsed and operated by the Nebraska Section of the PGA and coordinated by Nebraska Public Power District. Its proceeds are donated to the Nebraska Community College Foundation, which awards scholarships to hundreds of needy Nebraska students attending five community colleges in the state. By the end of 2019 over $1.6 million dollars will have been awarded in scholarships to the following colleges, Central Community College, Columbus, Hastings & Grand Island; Southeast Community College; Lincoln, Milford & Beatrice; Northeast Community College, Norfolk; Mid-Plains Community College, North Platte & McCook; and Western Nebraska Community College, Sidney & Scottsbluff.
