Elkhorn, NE. – A perfect fall day was the setting for the last pro-am of the 2019 Nebraska PGA Tournament Season. The Club at Indian Creek played host to 16 Professionals and their amateur partners and players were fortunate to play the hole locations used in Round Four of the 2019 Korn Ferry Tour Pinnacle Bank Championship to give them a taste of what touring professionals experience every week on tour. As was the case for most of the season, Ryan Vermeer, PGA of Happy Hollow Club was able to come away with the victory posting five-under-par 67. 2019 was a year to remember for Vermeer, one he wishes will not end. He will look to regain his form again in 2020 on both the Section and National stage. Justin Herron, PGA of Pacific Springs Golf Club and Steve Friesen, PGA of Firethorn Golf Club propelled their respective teams to victory in the Team 2 NET format with scores of 12-under-par 132.
This years’ tournament season couldn’t have been possible without some of the amazing relationships we have with our Section Partners, some of which were highlighted today: E-Z-GO Golf Cars/Miller & Sons, Coors Light & Arnold Palmer Spiked, Vinnie Krikac State Farm Insurance Agency, Cutter & Buck, Tito’s Handmade Vodka presented by Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits and Chesterman Co. Coca-Cola.
The Nebraska Section PGA would like to thank PGA Director of Golf, James Rolls, Golf Course Superintendent, Jim Nedrow and the entire professional team at The Club at Indian Creek for hosting this great event.
