Lincoln, NE – The 2025 Union Bank & Trust Pro + Ladies Jamboree, held on May 5th at The Country Club of Lincoln, showcased exceptional talent and a steadfast commitment to promoting girls’ junior golf across Nebraska. This annual event, organized by the Nebraska PGA, Nebraska Golf Association, and the Nebraska Women’s Amateur Golf Association (NWAGA), brought together professionals and amateurs in a spirited competition supporting youth golf initiatives.

The highlight of this year’s event came from Seth Porter, PGA Associate of The Club at Indian Creek, who fired a 63 (-10)—tying the course record at The Country Club of Lincoln. After starting 1-over through his first six holes, he played the final 12 holes at 11-under par showcasing a heater of a lifetime.

CCL’s very own Mark Foelbaek, PGA and Jim White, PGA MP of The Fairways at Lincoln tied for second place with impressive rounds of 68 (-5). A total of 10 Nebraska PGA Professionals fired rounds under par showcasing the talent in the Section.

In the team portion of the event, Nebraska PGA Professionals were paired with three NWAGA members from their home clubs to compete in a two net best-ball format across three separate flights.

Winning the Laura Saf flight with an impressive score of -19 was the team led by Justin Herron, PGA (Oak Hills Country Club), along with teammates Kim Anderson, Kelly Sudbeck, and Lisa Schaffer.

Taking home first in the Sarah Sasse Flight with a field-best score of -21 was the team led by Jon Moore, PGA (Champions Run), along with teammates Laura O’Connor, Melissa Reiner, and Courtney Mann.

Finally, winning the Susan Marchese Flight with a round of -16 was the team led by Kevin Drew, PGA (PGA of America), along with teammates Emily Gonderinger, Breanne Falley, and Stephanie Siegert.

The collaboration between club professionals and amateur women golfers made for spirited play and strong camaraderie. While competition was fierce, the event’s true impact lies in its mission to support and grow girls’ junior golf. Proceeds from the Jamboree directly benefit three key initiatives:

The Laura Saf Scholarship – supporting individual junior girls striving to reach elite levels of competition.

PGA REACH Nebraska’s Clubs FORE Youth Program – equipping high school girls’ golf programs with quality clubs, carts, and PGA instruction.

NWAGA’s TEE Grant – helping cover tournament entry fees, equipment, and travel for junior female golfers across Nebraska.

These programs have already changed lives. Notably, several high school teams who benefited from the Clubs FORE Youth program have qualified for the state tournament and seen increased participation.

The event wouldn’t be possible without the support of its generous sponsors, including Union Bank & Trust, E-Z-GO/Miller & Sons Golf Cars, Chesterman Co. Coca-Cola, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. We would also like to thank all of the hole sponsors and teams that signed up to compete in such a special event that continues to make a profound impact in our communities.

Finally, we also want to thank the entire staff at The Country Club of Lincoln for once again stepping up to host this event. We’re already looking forward to the sixth edition of the event!
