LINCOLN, NE – The PGA REACH Nebraska Foundation is excited to announce that Amber Bogle will serve as Nebraska PGA’s first PGA WORKS Fellow. The PGA WORKS Fellowship program offers individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds the opportunity to gain experience in all facets of the golf industry. It provides a one-year, paid immersion in the Foundation’s operations.
Amber is a 12-year military veteran whose golf journey started when she participated in the PGA HOPE Nebraska program in 2023. After the 6-week program for veterans was over, golf quickly became her favorite sport. Her passion for golf and serving people became evident when she continued to stay engaged with the PGA HOPE program. Amber was selected to be a member of Nebraska’s first-ever PGA HOPE Squadron, whose mission is to strategically enhance and grow the PGA HOPE Nebraska program by working together as a veteran-led group.
“Amber is an amazing person. She has such a positive impact on every person she meets. I’ve never met anyone so driven to be the best version of themselves and, at the same time, encourage others to do the same,” said Nebraska PGA Assistant Executive Director Seth Scollard.
On December 4th, 2023, Nebraska PGA Professionals, PGA REACH Nebraska representatives, and PGA HOPE graduates gathered at the Nebraska State Capitol for a monumental day. Governor Jim Pillen declared the day as the official ‘PGA HOPE Day’ in Nebraska. Amber spearheaded the whole project as she wrote and submitted the proclamation. “When I heard the Governor say “PGA HOPE,” I was filled with pride. I was excited for the opportunity to celebrate PGA HOPE and all of the hard work the PGA Professionals and staff have put in for our veteran community”, said Bogle.
“I’m so excited to join the Nebraska PGA team. I want to help positively impact as many people’s lives as I can through the game of golf,” says Bogle. “Nebraska PGA Professionals have made such a positive impact on my life, and I want to do the same for others as a PGA Professional someday.” Amber has already begun working towards pursuing that dream of becoming a PGA Professional. In February, Amber enrolled in the PGA of America’s Affiliate program. She has quickly passed the qualifying level and is currently working on Level 1.
Amber is currently the Firm Administrator and Director of Client Relations at Mueller Robak, a government relations firm in Lincoln. She also serves as executive director for a coalition of non-profit children and family service providers. Amber possesses a degree in Legal Studies and brings experience in relationship building, event organization, and non-profit management. Amber will start her PGA WORKS Fellowship with the Nebraska PGA in May of 2024.
In her free time, Amber attends her daughter’s youth sports events, is a group fitness instructor, volunteers in her community, and enjoys spending as much time as possible on the golf course.
