Storm Caps Off Impressive Season With Low-Pro Honors While Zywiec and Company Win Team Event

Elkhorn, NE. – Nebraska PGA Professionals and their teams of Amateurs battled it out at the Club at Indian Creek and the home of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Pinnacle Bank Championship with a challenging course setup. Presented by Vinnie Krikac’s State Farm Insurance Agency, Coors Light and White Claw Hard Seltzer, 19 teams competed in Nebraska PGA’s Facilities Championship Pro-Am. In a two-net best ball modified stableford format, today’s field played the 18-hole route of the 2021 Pinnacle Bank Championship featuring the same final round hole locations.

For the majority of the day, Ryan Vermeer, PGA of Happy Hollow Club and Andrew Storm of Shadow Ridge CC were neck and neck in the Professional-only division. Early in his round, Storm eagled the par 5 No. 7 to pick up seven crucial points that proved to be large towards the end. In his final two holes, Storm went birdie-birdie to finish with 46 stableford points and to capture Low-Professional honors over Vermeer by just one point. In addition to today’s event, Storm came into the day with a one-stroke lead in the season-long Tito’s Handmade Vodka Holes of the Week title, and he played today’s two featured holes at 3-under to cap off an impressive season.

Shane Zywiec, PGA of Highlands GC alongside Ryan Remmes (a), Dillon Ruether (a) and Craig Kubicek (a) went on to win the team division and captured the 2021 NEPGA Facilities Championship. The four players competing in the two net best ball modified stableford event put up an impressive 106 points while carding a team score of 15-under on the day.
