Omaha, NE – Presented by Bridgestone Golf, the 2026 Harris Golf Cars 27-Hole Pro-Am brought together 15 teams of Nebraska PGA Professionals and their amateur partners for a competitive day at Tiburon Golf Club. Originally postponed due to inclement weather earlier in the season, the event returned to Omaha with a unique 27-hole format featuring three different scoring formats across Tiburon’s three nine-hole courses:
- Red Course (Mako): One Net Best Ball
- White Course (Great White): Two Net Best Balls
- Blue Course (Hammerhead): One Gross and One Net Best Ball
In addition to the team competition, Nebraska PGA Professionals competed in an individual stroke-play event, adding another layer of excitement to the championship.

Tiburon Golf Club’s Carson Schaake continued his remarkable 2026 campaign, capturing yet another individual title with an impressive 10-under-par performance over 27 holes. Schaake delivered remarkable consistency throughout the day, posting nine-hole scores of 34, 32, and 32. His round featured 11 birdies against just one bogey, showcasing the outstanding form that has defined his season.
Finishing just two strokes behind was Justin Herron, PGA, of Oak Hills Country Club, who carded an impressive 8-under-par total to claim runner-up honors and add another strong finish to his 2026 résumé.
One of the day’s most impressive performances came from Tiburon Golf Club’s Jon Petersen, PGA. After a challenging start that saw him sit 3-over par through his opening five holes, Petersen caught fire, playing his remaining 22 holes in an incredible 10-under par. His remarkable turnaround earned him a third-place finish at 7-under.
Fellow Tiburon Golf Club professional Christian Hall also took advantage of his home-course familiarity, securing fourth place with a strong 6-under-par performance.
Schaake’s success extended beyond the individual competition as he teamed up with Steve Winton, Brandon Hargis, and Scott Campau to capture the team championship and complete another impressive sweep.
The foursome combined for a remarkable 26-under-par total, delivering a record-breaking performance in which all four players made meaningful contributions.
Team Petersen put together an outstanding round of its own, finishing at 23-under par to claim runner-up honors, just three strokes behind the champions.
The Nebraska PGA extends its sincere appreciation to Director of Golf Eric Tomes and the entire professional staff at Tiburon Golf Club for their outstanding hospitality and efforts in hosting another successful Section event.
We would also like to recognize and thank our title sponsor, Harris Golf Cars, and presenting sponsor, Bridgestone Golf, for their continued commitment to supporting Nebraska PGA Professionals and Section events.
