PGA REACH NEBRASKA WELCOMES PGA PROFESSIONALS AL PETERSON AND ANTHONY DRISCOLL TO THEIR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
PGA REACH Nebraska, the Foundation and charitable arm of the Nebraska Section PGA is excited to announce two newly elected Board Members. Country Club of Lincoln’s Al Peterson and Bent Tree Golf Club’s Tony Driscoll are the latest additions to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Al Peterson is a PGA Golf Professional at the Country Club of Lincoln and he prides himself on being outgoing and thrives in a setting where he can connect with the members at his club. Peterson gained great experience working at several other facilities including Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, MO. One of his biggest achievements was just recently when he was named Nebraska PGA’s 2019 Assistant PGA Professional of the Year.
“One of my goals as an African American PGA Member is to really try to diversify the game of golf specifically in Nebraska. I understand that the youth is the key to growing the game of golf and I believe PGA Reach is a perfect outlet to accomplish that goal. I am excited to network, build relationships and learn as much as I can to better myself,” Peterson said as he’s excited to take on his new role.
Anthony Driscoll is the Head PGA Golf Professional at Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs. Like Peterson, Driscoll was a graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Driscoll began his career by working at the City of Omaha golf courses as well with The First Tee. His life has always revolved around the game of golf and the strong passion motivates him every day as a PGA Professional.
“I am very excited to be part of the Nebraska PGA Foundation. Joining a group of talented individuals working together to help others through excellent key pillars of success is a great experience. I look forward to helping the best PGA Section in the country continue their mission in serving others through the great game we all love,” Driscoll said after receiving the news.
PGA REACH Nebraska and the Board of Directors are more than excited to welcome both Peterson and Driscoll to the team.
“Tony’s passion about the game of golf is second to none. He has been involved with our Golf N Schools program since the beginning and continues to offer a helping hand when needed. Al is a young and motivated PGA Professional that will make an instant impact with our Foundation. Al’s passion to make the game more diverse will directly align with our mission of PGA REACH Nebraska and I can’t wait to get them involved,” said Seth Scollard, the Managing Director of PGA REACH Nebraska.
