Phil Palmer, PGA of Miracle Hill Golf & Tennis was elected as the next Secretary of the Nebraska Section PGA at their Annual Fall Meeting.

Lincoln, NE – The Nebraska Section PGA hosted their Annual Fall Meeting at Happy Hollow Club to recap the golf season with more than 130 Nebraska PGA Professionals in attendance. Golf continued to boom across the state and throughout the Section. Nebraska Junior Golf hosted more than 80 events for nearly 1,000 junior members while PGA Jr. League welcomed a record number of participants with 1,500 juniors competing in 2022.

PGA REACH Nebraska, the charitable arm of the Nebraska Section PGA, continued to make an impact across the Section in 2022. Through their three pillars (Youth, Military & Inclusion), the Foundation positively impacted lives in communities across the Nebraska Section. PGA HOPE, PGA REACH Nebraska’s Veteran program graduated a record 87 local Veterans in 2022 and welcomed nearly 89 graduates to Hillcrest Country Club for the 2022 PGA HOPE Nebraska Cup.

Over the course of the 2022 Fall Meeting, committees gave their end of the year reports including the tournament committee that highlighted another successful season. More than 180 Nebraska PGA Professionals and 1,100 amateurs teed it up in Nebraska Section PGA events this season.

In addition to the committee reports, the Nebraska Section PGA membership elected Phil Palmer, PGA of Miracle Hill Golf & Tennis to serve as their next Secretary. Palmer joins President Dawn Neujahr, PGA, Vice President Mike Schuchart, PGA and Honorary President Gil Russell, PGA in office.

“It is great to have the opportunity to represent the PGA Members of the Nebraska Section and that they had trust and belief in me to do so. What excites me most is discovering the unknown and advancing opportunities for our members, our Section and our foundation”, said Palmer.
