Lincoln, NE – The Nebraska Section PGA is proud to recognize Jon Moore, PGA, of Champions Run in Omaha as the Wilson Sporting Goods Game Ball recipient for the month of October. This honor is awarded monthly to a Section professional who exemplifies leadership, mentorship, and a dedication to growing the game of golf in Nebraska.

A PGA Professional since 2010, Moore is originally from Sidney, Nebraska, and a graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. After spending eight summers and five winters in Vail, Colorado, he returned to Nebraska in 2015, joining the Field Club of Omaha. He later spent six years as the Head Golf Professional at Platteview Golf Club in Bellevue before becoming part of the Champions Run team.

“Being recognized by my peers is unexpected and truly an honor,” Moore said. “It means a lot to be chosen for this knowing that there are so many of my peers in the Section who are incredible at what they do.”

Moore has been deeply involved in the Nebraska PGA Mentorship Program, which is designed to support Associates and younger professionals pursuing careers in golf.

“Over my years in the golf business, I have been fortunate to have some amazing people to look up to and learn from,” he said. “I have always wanted to give back to younger professionals and associates looking to get into the industry. There is no better feeling than seeing someone achieve their goals, and getting the opportunity to be a part of that is priceless.”

Known for his leadership both at Champions Run and within Section governance, Moore credits his mentors and family for his motivation.

“I work closely with two of the best to ever do it, Greg and Dawn Neujahr. They are a daily reminder of what good leadership looks like. My wife has been so supportive over the years and has helped me become the best professional, husband, and father that I could possibly be,” he said.

Moore added, “I’m so happy to be a part of the team here at Champions Run. I have enjoyed getting to know the membership, whether through conversations in the golf shop, lessons on the range, or a round of golf on the course.”

The Nebraska Section PGA congratulates Jon Moore on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued dedication to mentoring the next generation of golf professionals and growing the game in Nebraska.

The Wilson Sporting Goods Game Ball Award celebrates Nebraska PGA Professionals who go above and beyond in their work and communities. Moore has found a great way to make a difference across the Section through the PGA Mentorship program.

Nominations for the next Wilson Sporting Goods Monthly Game Ball will open on November 1st and will close at 11:59 PM on November 15th.
