Lincoln, NE – The Nebraska PGA Section is proud to recognize Jared Frost, PGA, of Miracle Hill Golf & Tennis, as the July Wilson Sporting Goods Game Ball recipient.
The Wilson Game Ball Award recognizes PGA Professionals who go above and beyond in serving their facilities, communities, and the game of golf. Frost’s impact extends far beyond the golf course through his leadership with PGA HOPE, PGA Jr. League, mentoring PGA Associates, women’s programming, and countless charitable and community initiatives.
Frost was nominated by multiple peers who highlighted his unwavering commitment to growing the game and serving others.
“Jared has been a big supporter and volunteer for PGA HOPE, Wounded Warriors and PGA Jr. League,” said Phil Palmer, PGA, Director of Golf at Miracle Hill Golf & Tennis. “Along with that he mentors our Associate Golf Professionals toward membership. Jared has been a huge part of our award-winning junior golf program at Miracle Hill—from our Team Golf Days to now with PGA Jr. League. He has taken on every role I have asked him to lead and has done so at a very high level. I can’t say enough how important he is to the success of our facility.”
Joe Wiegand echoed those sentiments in his nomination.
“As a PGA Professional, Jared goes above and beyond to use the game of golf as a tool for positive impact,” Wiegand said. “Through PGA Jr. League, he serves as a vital mentor to local youth, teaching discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship. His commitment to military Veterans through PGA HOPE is equally impactful, and between those initiatives and the many tournaments and charity events he coordinates, Jared consistently gives his time and talents to bring people together. His generosity, work ethic, and community-first mindset make him truly deserving of this recognition.”
For Frost, the motivation behind his work has evolved over the course of his career.
“As I have gotten older, seen my kids grow up, and become busier than ever in my 12th year as a PGA Member, I’ve realized how much impact we can make through this game without even playing it,” Frost said. “I want my family—my wife and kids—to be proud of their dad and see that being a Golf Professional is about much more than playing golf or checking in tee times. It’s about serving others.”
He says few experiences are more rewarding than witnessing the impact of PGA HOPE.
“The overwhelming impact we have with PGA HOPE and helping Veterans through their quiet battles is very emotional and really puts life into perspective,” Frost said. “We also have the opportunity to impact the next generation of golfers by giving them a place to compete, make friends, and simply enjoy being around good people. We’ve built a culture where kids want to be, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.”
Whether he’s coaching junior golfers, leading women’s programs, working with military Veterans, or mentoring future PGA Members, Frost hopes every participant leaves with more than just a better golf game.
“I want people to always have fun,” he said. “Appreciate the relationships that are created and built. Regardless of the score, it’s about surrounding yourself with good people and enjoying your time because life is tough, and golf gives us an escape that we can all look forward to.”
Receiving the Wilson Game Ball Award carries special meaning for Frost, particularly knowing it came from the people who know him best.
“I’ve been a PGA Member for 12 years, and I’ve never dreaded going to work,” Frost said. “There are difficult days, busy weeks, and summers seem to fly by while my kids keep getting older, but I wouldn’t trade this career for anything. I’m fortunate to have an incredible wife who supports me, and Phil has always believed in creating a healthy work-life balance, which I’m forever grateful for.”
He continued, “When you look at everything we do—from serving more than 200 junior golfers each year to nightly leagues, outings, PGA HOPE classes, Wounded Warriors programs, and so much more—you hope you’re making a difference. To have those efforts recognized by your peers is incredibly meaningful. It’s certainly not why I do what I do, but it’s an honor nonetheless.”

The Nebraska Section PGA is a non-for-profit organization comprised of over 340 PGA Members and PGA Associates who strive to promote the enjoyment and growth of the game of golf. The Nebraska Section PGA encompasses the entire State of Nebraska, western fifth of Iowa and a small portion of South Dakota including Dakota Dunes and Yankton.
