Dakota Dunes, SD – Nebraska Section PGA Professionals and their amateur guests competed today at the beautiful Dakota Dunes Country Club. The morning began with sunshine and breezy, cool temps but the skies soon gave way to mostly cloudy skies and colder temperatures. With 20 teams in the field, the stage was set for a challenging day. Jim White, PGA MP of The Fairways and Lincoln and Mike Coatman of Firethorn Golf Club posted matching one-over-par rounds of 73. White’s round featured four bogeys and three birdies and all around solid play from the 69-year-old Nebraska PGA Legend. Coatman’s round featured three bogeys and two birdies and the second year Nebraska Section Associate continues to have solid performances every time he tees it up. Coatman will be a force to be reckoned with when he obtains his PGA Membership in the next year. Justin Onken, PGA, Sam Jonell, PGA and Justin Herron all tied for third with scores of two-over-par 74.
The team competition featured a 2 Net Best Ball format. Onken was able to help lead his team to the Team Title with team members consisting of Neal Josten, John Robbins and John Snyder with a scorching score of 15-under-par 129.

About The Nebraska Section PGA
The Nebraska Section of the PGA is one of 41 Sections that together comprise the PGA of America. The Nebraska Section PGA is a non-for-profit organization comprised of approximately 261 PGA Members and 21 PGA Associates who strive to promote the enjoyment and growth of the game of golf.
