Vermeer Captures TaylorMade Pro-Am
Sioux City, IA. – Near perfect weather conditions and quick greens welcomed Nebraska PGA Professionals and amateur golfers for the final round of the TaylorMade Pro-Am at Green Valley G.C. In the low professional division it was a shootout between some past champions as round one leader, Shane Zywiec, PGA of Highlands G.C. posted a solid round of even-par 72 to finish with a two-day total of one-under-par 143. Nick Wanderscheid, PGA of Green Valley G.C. made a charge as he posted two-under-par 70 on the day to finish at one-under-par 143 with Zywiec. They both fell short by one stroke to reigning OMEGA Nebraska PGA Player of the Year, Ryan Vermeer, PGA of Happy Hollow Club who posted a tournament best of four-under-par 68 to finish with a two-under-par 142 total. Vermeer made five birdies on the day and made three of them in his final seven holes to catch and pass Zywiec and Wanderscheid.
