Vermeer Rolls In Another Victory
Omaha, NE – Perfect scoring conditions welcomed Nebraska PGA Professionals and their amateur guests to Johnny Goodman G.C. for a spectacular day of golf and arguably the nicest day of the year. Ryan Vermeer, PGA, Director of Instruction at Happy Hollow Club continued his stellar play this season by posting a tournament best five-under-par 67 to claim the low professional title. Closely on his heels and finishing tied for second at three-under-par 69 was Shane Zywiec, PGA of Highlands G.C., Chris Wiemers, PGA of Stone Creek G.C. and Justin Herron of Pacific Springs G.C. Vermeer got off to a scorching start by posting five birdies and one eagle in his first 11 holes. During this stretch, Vermeer post an inward nine of six-under-par 30, his best nine holes of the season. What makes Vermeer’s performance so impressive is that his scoring average this spring is a blistering 67.0 and arguably one of the best stretches of golf by a Nebraska PGA Professional in decades.
