Friesen Captures Low Professional Title At The Harris Yamaha Golf Cars / Mizuno Pro-Am

 

 

Lincoln, NE. – It was a perfect day for scoring at Yankee Hill Country Club on Monday and Steve Friesen of Lincoln took full advantage of those conditions to post 5-under-par 67. Friesen took advantage of the par 5’s on Monday. Friesen started with a birdie on the par 5 first hole, eagled the par 5 fourth hole and another birdie on the par 5 seventh hole to finish the par 5’s at four-under par on his outward nine. Friesen’s hot play on the front nine continued on the back nine and he birdied holes 10,15,18 to finish at two-under-par 34 and a five-under-par 67 total.

Congratulations to the winner of the 2018 Wells Fargo Nebraska Open, Dan Woltman of Beaver Dam, WI. In dramatic fashion, on his third playoff hole against Brandon Crick of McCook, NE, Woltman holed out for eagle from 107 yards to capture the 27th Wells Fargo Nebraska Open. In the amateur division, George Duangmanee of Fairfax, VA, captured the low amateur title with a 6-under-total 207
