DIGIACOMO SURGES TO THE LEAD OF THE 28th VEGAS CLASSIC PRESENTED BY CALLAWAY GOLF & VINNIE KRIKAC STATE FARM

Henderson, Nevada – Nebraska Section PGA Professionals and their Amateur partners teed off for round two of the 28th Annual Vegas Classic presented by Callaway Golf & Vinnie Krikac State Farm Insurance Agency.  After shaking off some winter rust in round one, Section Professionals and their amateur guests were treated to abundant sunshine, continued cool temperatures but a great day of golf at famed Anthem C.C.

 

Ted DiGiacomo, PGA of Golf Galaxy – Omaha got off to a solid start and used a red hot putter to post 36 points in the modified stableford format to surge to the professional lead.  Matt Meuret, PGA of Plainview C.C., Plainview, NE made a timely eagle three on the par 5 12th hole to help him earn 35 points and one point back of of DiaGiacomo.  Round one leader, Nick Wanderscheid, PGA of Green Valley G.C. of Sioux, City, IA had a couple of untimely double bogeys on his card and he sits two points back and tied for third place with Justin Onken, PGA of Champions Run of Omaha, NE.
