Schellpeper Paces Field At All Star Pro Golf Pro-Am

Fremont, NE. – Summer like temperatures welcomed the field at the All Star Pro Golf Pro-Am at Fremont G.C.  Kyle Schellpeper, PGA Head Professional at Oak Hills C.C. capitalized on his red hot putter to post three-under-par 68 to capture the low professional title.  Schellpeper birdied the par 4 third hole but made back to back bogeys on his fourth and fifth holes.  Schellpeper bounced back with birdies on the par 4 sixth hole and par 4 ninth hole. Schellpeper’s inward nine was a bogey free two-under-par 34.  Finishing one stroke back of Schellpeper and using some home course knowledge was PGA Head Professional, Cody Gorsett of Fremont G.C.  who posted a two-under-par 69 in his first Section Pro-Am of his career.  Rounding out the top three was Jon Petersen, PGA of Tiburon G.C. who continues his steady play this Spring with a one-under-par 70.  Joining Petersen was Tom Hearn, PGA of the PGA TOUR who made 17 straight pars and made his first birdie on the day on the 18th hole.
