PGA Scholarship Program

The PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program was established in 1986 to provide college scholarships for children and grandchildren of PGA members. Since its inception, this program has awarded some $4.8 million in scholarships to 2,394 students. The scholarship program is an academic based scholarship program that takes into account the following, depending on the class level of the student:

High School Graduating Senior
  

• High School Cumulative Grade Point Average must be at least 3.0 (60 percent of the scholarship weighting scale)
• ACT and/or SAT test scores (30 percent of the scholarship weighting scale)
• Extracurricular activities in high school such as sports, clubs, student government, community service, etc. (10 percent of the scholarship weighting scale). Extracurricular activities must have a duration – not be just a one day event. We are looking for effort. Deans List, Honor Roll, etc. are academic achievements and should not be noted as activities.
 
Current College Student (has not reached their senior year in college)
 
• College Cumulative Grade Point Average must be at least 3.0 (60 percent of the scholarship weighting scale)
• Most recently completed college semester or quarter GPA (30 percent of the scholarship weighting scale)
• Extracurricular activities in college such as sports, clubs, student government, community service, etc. (10 percent of the scholarship weighting scale). Extracurricular activities must have a duration – not be just a one day event. We are looking for effort. Deans List, Honor Roll, etc. are academic achievements and should not be noted as activities.

 
Students must submit via mail a sealed official transcript for the first semester of the current school year.
