Vermeer's Strong Finish Propels Him to Title

at All-Star Pro-Golf/E-Z-Go Pro-Am

ASHLAND, NE – Ryan Vermeer, Apprentice Professional of Omaha, NE. at Tiburon G.C. birdied two of his last three holes to finish at two-under-par 69 and capture the All-Star Pro-Golf/E-Z-GO Pro-Am at Iron Horse G.C. Finishing one stroke back of Vermeer at one-under-par 70 was Ted DiGiacomo, PGA of Council Bluffs C.C. DiGiacomo was three-under-par for his round heading into #17 but an untimely double-bogey six and a par on #18 left him just shy of the individual professional title. Brett Evans, PGA of Elks C.C. finished two strokes back at even-par 71.

Vermeer carded a one-over-par 36 on the front nine but made birdies on #10, #13, #16 and #17 to shoot three-under-par 33 on the back nine good enough for two-under-par 69. Vermeer feels right at home at Iron Horse G.C. as he captured the 2013 Assistants Championship at this facility.
